When it comes to our jewelry, by now it is no secret that Mol and I live and die for all things dainty. Mostly gold necklaces, an occasional bracelet, and a few pretty pairs of studs here and there – but always dainty. Despite this obsession with delicate jewels, I love the idea of owning a really killer cuff to throw on when I’m wanting a little bit of heavy wrist action. Especially in the warmer months when wearing sleeveless or short sleeves – why not throw something awesome on one of those wrists and call it a night? And the great thing is that it can so easily mix with dainty pieces around your neck or on your ears so you don’t have to worry about overdoing it. Our grandmother always wears the coolest bangles and I love it – it has almost become her signature accessory.
I spotted this Elsa Peretti Bone Cuff a few weeks ago and about lost my breath over it. I have been familiar with the Elsa Peretti collection through Tiffany, but never have I ever seen something like this. The cuff features a black carbon finish over copper giving the piece its black hue. Hello awesome, so nice to meet you. The shape of the bone cuff is described as having “sublime symmetry and sensuous contours that have an ergonomic quality making them one with the body”. Sounds just about right for such a sculptural piece like this one. The combination of the cuff’s fluid shape and its jet black color make it absolutely to die for in my book. Stunning, yet classic and timeless and something that can be worn again and again. Don’t you agree?

This actually cuff reminds me of something my grandmother wears, but her's is in silver. I love the black, it makes it feel so new and modern yet still timeless.
