The other weekend in Austin I saw a girl wearing the most adorable pair of chambray/denim shorts with a perfectly sized scallop along the bottom. I loved that they were in fact a denim short, but a dressier and classier version of your typical cut-off jorts. Don’t get me wrong, I lovee my jorts, but there’s definitely a time and a place for them:) When I saw that these shorts were adorned with a pretty little gold bird on the bottom, I knew immediately that they were the work of MiH. A denim company founded in Britain, MiH is relatively new to us, but I love everything that I own of theirs. Their jeans are soft like you have had them forever and contain just the right amount of stretch. The waistband isn’t one of those tight and annoying waistbands that you constantly have to adjust. In a word, they’re legit.
I quickly searched the Internets (I am an Internet search guru when it comes to finding products), and found that my new favorite article of clothing was still available. Not only did I find the Scallop Shorts at MiH, but I found about a million other things that I now love and want. Starting with the above color blocked jeans in the perfect combination of yummy, sherbet-like colors. They’re unique and special just like the scalloped short. You’re killing me, MiH! How good would those jeans look paired with a classic white button down like this one? The love is just as equal for their Bandana Print Shirt that would look perfect tucked into some white skinnies. Eeee! Me + MiH = love.
I know its only Monday and that we are just coming off of a weekend, but I can’t help but look forward to the upcoming holiday and three day weekend. Please tell me that I’m not the only one? With little to no daytime plans, I have images in my mind of relaxing all day every day. Maybe even getting some pool time with the pups – our favorite warm weather activity. I swear its like I haven’t sat down in weeks and haven’t had a really relaxing weekend in weeks either. We have fun plans for each night of the weekend with a birthday dinner Friday night, a Mexican night Saturday night, and a cook out on Sunday night. All with good friends that I feel like I haven’t seen in ages. Here’s to hoping that this work week flies by so that the much needed three-day weekend gets here soon! Both Molly and I are big fans of dressing festive for the holidays, but not too festive – if that makes sense? We won’t be emblazoning ourselves with American flags head to toe, but we most definitely will be sporting some good ole red, white, and blue throughout the weekend:) I almost purchased that Target bikini the other week, and I might just have to get it this week. Its not too festive that I couldn’t wear it on other occasions and I love the style. Whether you’ll be by a lake, pool, beach, or grill, there’s lots of fun finds for a festive three day weekend. Woop. Woop.
On another note, you can get 50% off Soludos‘ new lace up espadrilles today only with code “luckydaily1″. I think I am going to get these guys!
Aside from wanting every.single.thing from Bailey’s new bedding roll out (my bed is gearing up for some Jenny Shams and maybe some Katie Sheets in a new color-way? The sheets are unbelievable, trust me, I’ve slept in them), I’ve got my eye on a whole lot of greatness this week. A few of these things I have been thinking about alll week long after seeing them while out and about in Austin last weekend. I came this close to making the Pucci coffee table book mine, and have definitely moved it to the top of my book list. I try to purchase new coffee table books every so often in order to build a collection. It has been so much fun to do. We also saw these Givenchy Jelly Gladiators in Austin and they are beyond. Ever since Molly told me about Coach’s handbags in the pale pink, I can’t get the thought of owning one out of my brain. I think this is definitely my favorite style. With a fun trip to Houston in a few weeks to go to a music festival, I have been pinning all of my favorite festie looks here. Potpourri-printed All Stars (sidenote: the shoes can be personalized with initials – I see a sister purchase) are definitely a necessity for the occasion! Those and a great neon, embroidered tunic like this one. Molly, who is not one to appreciate anything monogrammed, even fell for this teeny tinymonogram necklace. Definitely adding it to my birthday list for this summer:) I honestly don’t do a whole lot of yoga and when I do, my gym provides the mats, but I feel completely compelled to buy this yoga mat just because I have never in my life seen anything quite so cool. Have a yoga-loving friend with a birthday coming up? You HAVE to get her this. Done and done.
Words cannot describe how happy I am that tomorrow is Friday or how excited I am for this weekend. Lots of fun things planned with the sister including our Makeup Forever event (favorite new obsession! dying to try this) and Bradley’s long-awaited wedding. Eeeek!!
