Aside from wanting every.single.thing from Bailey’s new bedding roll out (my bed is gearing up for some Jenny Shams and maybe some Katie Sheets in a new color-way? The sheets are unbelievable, trust me, I’ve slept in them), I’ve got my eye on a whole lot of greatness this week. A few of these things I have been thinking about alll week long after seeing them while out and about in Austin last weekend. I came this close to making the Pucci coffee table book mine, and have definitely moved it to the top of my book list. I try to purchase new coffee table books every so often in order to build a collection. It has been so much fun to do. We also saw these Givenchy Jelly Gladiators in Austin and they are beyond. Ever since Molly told me about Coach’s handbags in the pale pink, I can’t get the thought of owning one out of my brain. I think this is definitely my favorite style. With a fun trip to Houston in a few weeks to go to a music festival, I have been pinning all of my favorite festie looks here. Potpourri-printed All Stars (sidenote: the shoes can be personalized with initials – I see a sister purchase) are definitely a necessity for the occasion! Those and a great neon, embroidered tunic like this one. Molly, who is not one to appreciate anything monogrammed, even fell for this teeny tinymonogram necklace. Definitely adding it to my birthday list for this summer:) I honestly don’t do a whole lot of yoga and when I do, my gym provides the mats, but I feel completely compelled to buy this yoga mat just because I have never in my life seen anything quite so cool. Have a yoga-loving friend with a birthday coming up? You HAVE to get her this. Done and done.
Words cannot describe how happy I am that tomorrow is Friday or how excited I am for this weekend. Lots of fun things planned with the sister including our Makeup Forever event (favorite new obsession! dying to try this) and Bradley’s long-awaited wedding. Eeeek!!
Sooo…I have this running joke with Molly every time we are traveling and in an airport together that I am going to buy one of those outrageously overpriced neck pillows that they sell in the airport. I actually have one that’s super cute and pink that I used when I traveled to Italy but somehow it got lost in the shuffle of moving in college, and I definitely do miss it – airplanes are a death sentence to the neck. I couldn’t help but chuckle when I saw that Kate Spade Saturday has an airplane essentials kit in a classicly cool black and white stripe. This takes the neck pillow to a whole new level and one that I could totally jump on board. Its no secret that python everything is my best friend, so I had to share when I found the perfect python flat sandal. I’m not kidding when I say that I probably wear my flat python sandals that I got at Cole Haan a few years ago all. the. time. The wedges are pretty freaking good too. It makes for a great neutral and goes with everything. Madewell’sEmbroidered Botanica top isn’t something that I would normally go for, but I was instantly drawn to it when I saw it. I am picturing wearing it with white shorts and jeans all summer long. I have yet to find a pair of denim shorts that I love (does anyone else think its hard to find a good fit in these guys?), but these stars would make for the ideal Memorial Day and Fourth of July outfit, no? Especially with Club Monaco’sRhonda sweater (strange name for a sweater???). I love a good short sleeved sweater. I’ve already purchased one J.Crew swimsuit this season (this one), but I can’t help but love the colors in this one – wondering how that top would fit – anyone tried it?? Their swimsuits are always a go-to for both Molly and me each summer. A fun new coffee table book is always on the list – I’m really trying to grow my collection as much as I can, and a few red accessories to ease the bold color into my world. So. Many. Good. Finds.
It’s here, it’s here! Friday that is:) And so is a whole new grouping of things I can’t seem to take my mind off of. Really wishing that I had come across this Topshop dress in time to order for our Cinco de Mayo celebration this weekend – would have been quite fitting. As would the Tory bag that is too cool for words. Talk about a conversation starter. Although the bag may seem a bit “out there” to some, it really could be worn with just about anything throughout the summer. A couple of weekends ago we were able to meet adorable Emily who works for Tuckernuck (a must visit if you haven’t yet!) and she was sporting a pair of Visconti and Du Reau Manila Sandals that I could not stop staring at. They’re kind of everything, no? So is Kate Spade’s new cork iPad case. I love the fact that its neutral, yet so far from boring. It would make a fun gift, too! Speaking of gifts, who wouldn’t want a Zoology workspace accessory like a flamingo tape dispenser or seahorse scissors. Not kidding, I think I need these – I actually don’t own a tape dispenser so it must be meant to be? When our new bff Amber was in town a few weekends ago she religiously used and raved about Josie Maran’s Bohemian Waves hair mist that manages to turn her “straight as an arrow” hair into the perfect beachy waves. Buying some of this keeps moving further and further down on my to do list, but tomorrow is ze day. A trip to Sephora is in order for that and a product were both excited to try, Makeup Forever’s new Aqua Lip Pencil.
Yay for Friday and the fun weekend we have planned down in Houston en la casa de McCarthy!
