In 2011, Jayne Min made me fall in love with skateboards when she fused her love of Celine’s 2011 prints with plywood and shared them on her blog, Stop It Right Now. Her epic creation rocked the blogging world and after selling a few limited editions of the skateboard decks, the Celine boards lived on my heart forever.  I was *this* close to buying one from her – and looking back I should have pulled the trigger before I lost the chance – but I didn’t know if the color and pattern was what I wanted… See, I wanted to mount one of those skateboards on my wall, a thought that seemed really original (at the time).

Seeing Michelle Adams home in the March ’13 issue of Lonny made me realize that 1) my super original idea is not so original (made even more apparent later), and 2) I still want some skateboard decks to hang on my own walls.  More searching in the Lonny photo archive, Pinterest, and The Coveteur turned up even more skateboard-as-art inspiration… And now I’m off on my personal quest for decks of my own.  Apparently snagging a Supreme artist collaboration board is the way to go… So do I: Splurge for Michelle’s set of three?  Track down one of these floral Supremes?  Get a few of these leftovers?  Pretty sad I missed out on this Janye Min + Peter Pilotto collab…  Obvi I’ll let you know what I end up with.  But this dream is happening.

Celine Me Alone

Ever since pinning the very first image on one of our Pinterest boards what seems like forever ago, I have been dying to add the “Celine Me Alone” tee to my ever growing collection of tshirts.  Unfortunately, I had never been able to track one down as they were all popularly sold out.  Thanks to my gal pal Hannah, who has quite the knack for finding things that seem nearly impossible to find, I was able to scoop one of my own up today.  The shirts have been sold out for what seems like forever, but NYC Paris London HK Toyka LA (whew!) has the tees in stock in both the grey and white.  But probably not for long!  I scooped one up for myself in the white (kept going back and forth on this one) and for $38 dollars I think it was quite the purchase (really trying to limit my spending during lent).  I am already envisioning myself wearing it with my newest 7FAM jean purchase and my new favorite denim jacket come Spring and with a blingy necklace, blazer, and flared jeans for right now.  A tee like this is so versatile and can really be worn year round with so many different pieces.  I am secretly hoping that Molly will get the grey version so we can share the two?
