We had one funnn filled and eventful weekend this past weekend – how about you all? It was my boyfriend’s birthday on Sunday and we pretty much celebrated alll weekend long. A yummy dinner on Friday night and a concert with friends on Saturday night. Needless to say, by the time Sunday rolled around we were more than ready to have a slow day outside with the pups. The 70 degree weather we had here yesterday made it the most perfect day for a trip to the new Klyde Warren Park with Aunt Molly. The park sits smack dab in the middle of downtown Dallas – a patch of green amongst all of the tall, gleaming buildings. The park has a little bit of something for everyone – a dog park, chairs and tables galore, a playground for the kids, putt putt, and little areas where you can rent anything from games, to books, to a bocce ball set. Literally, something for everyone. There is also a nice line up of food trucks to feed hungry tummys like ours. It was the perfect little respite we needed from an otherwise wild weekend and the greatest way to wind down on our Sunday.

We got hit with some gorgeous weather this past weekend in Dallas. It was so nice that I pulled out some of my new and old(ish) favorite “neutrals” on Sunday… I’ve mentioned this from time to time on the blog, but the chameleon colors I loved in college have given way to black, white, grey, navy, and tan with each coming season. Black and navy are my favorite combination (a pretty bruise) I added some new white jeans to compliment the ridiculous warm temperature. I still like color, but I see myself buying less of it – especially when it comes to my everyday go-to’s like t-shirts and sweaters. Speaking of t-shirts, Sally and I just discovered the new-to-us line LAmade and we have been living in their super soft shirts. I never feel bad about buying plain cotton t-shirts if they are nice enough to wear with both jeans and pencil skirts, the quality makes them hold up to constant wear, and the details in design set them apart (want this top of theirs next!). And even though I’m not usually a statement necklace kind of girl, I lurve the long ivory and gold necklace that Bailey gifted to me at Alt Summit… She sells them in her store and online in several colors and each is hand knit. The tiny strands of gold chain are individually knit into the piece and speak to my dainty jewelry-loving heart.
