Finally – a weekend that actually felt long! Two days of productiveness and lots of sister time with Sally… It was good. A trip to Central Market yielded groceries as well as the Spring/Summer issue of D Moms and a bar of Mast Brother’s Chocolate – two seriously necessary things. I might not be a mom (le duh) but Joslyn followed up the first issue of Moms with an even more impressive second issue. The whole publication – from the graphics, photography, features, fashion, etc. – is beautiful on the eyes, an excellent portrayal of Dallas and dare I say, a non-perscriptive read of what I someday hope to achieve as a mama (you can order your issue(s) here and keep up with the D Moms Blog!). And the chocolate… Well the packaging is beautiful on the eyes (see what happens to me in the grocery store?!) and the taste is the real treat.
A few things to share… Remember when I wrote about getting my hands on Joie’s perfume? I got my hands on some and guys, it’s delicious. There’s no other way to describe it. What else? We got our baby cacti back and they’re living happily under our Hudson & Grace bell jars. Sally and I consider them pets. Both of us sisters have been total bookworms lately (we’ll need to share our latest faves) and are never without our iPads – which when not in our hands are snuggled up in new Durable Sleeves from DODOcase - soo lightweight and so perfect for on the go reading.
Lots of errands, picture taking, baking (Sally = pancakes, me = German chocolate cake for a certain birthday guy), and some shopping rounded out the weekend. You can’t get too upset about hitting the mall when Nothpark has such a well groomed courtyard in addition to all the stores inside (: Great sale stuff right now at J.Crew and Madewell – we can’t wait to show you what we got soon!
