Summer in Dallas is hot, like really hot. So hot that the only way you could be outdoors is if you’re fully immersed in a pool – up to your neck at all times. No, I am not exaggerating. During those dream-like times in this city, I wear as little clothing as possible. Thin dresses, shorts, and tank tops are my usual uniform if I’m not in a pool. In preparation for that kind of weather that is approaching, I am trying to get as much wear out of my white jeans and tunics as I can. Over the years I have built quite the collection of white denim, but I swear that I wear every single pair. Since they’re not like real jeans and can’t go unwashed between wears (I swear my white jeans get dirty before I even leave the house), its so nice to have backups hanging up in my closet. This skinny pair from Old Navy might just be my new favorite. I actually didn’t own a single pair of super skinny white denim until now, and I don’t know how I have ever lived without them. They’re perfect for when you want to wear a looser top. At $19 a piece (stealing?), I am definitely going to probably get a second pair. I also, wanted them in the so cute micro-stripe, but they didn’t have my size:( Will have to order online!
Right now, all skinny jeans at Old Navy are on sale for the $19 price tag – now is the time to stock up, no!?
Some pretty darn good sale finds this week, friends! Molly has the above Anthro accordion dress and it is absolutely gorgeous – I couldn’t believe it when I found it on sale, thought it would have surely sold out. It’s the perfect piece to dress up or down that that you could almost wear year round. And even though its May, we are expecting temperatures down here in Dallas to get into the 50′s tomorrow (eek!) so sweaters must not be out of the equation yet? This Madewell guy made its way into my closet a few weeks ago and I can’t get enough of it. It’s been perfect to throw on with white jeans or shorts this time of year. We have both had our eyes on the feminine yet classic J.Crew silk collar tee, so I couldn’t be more excited to see that its on sale. Not to mention that J.Crew is still running 25% off any purchase from now until Friday, May 3rd. They’re making it quite hard for me to save my moneys!
P to the S: While browsing Nordstrom last night, I came across these (here and here) insanely cool colored leather jackets by Bernardo that are 50% off. I want one. I need one? Which color do you favor? These are kind of everything. Also.. for anyone looking for summer wedding dresses (black tie or cocktail) I just got a dress on sale from BCBG – they have so many pretty options!
Shopbop: New sale and markdown items waiting to be snatched up… (this might be the BEST black and white dress. ever. But if navy and white is more your speed – try this dress!)
J.Crew: 25% off all purchases through May 3rd with code SPRINGBEST
Madewell: Extra 30% off sale items through May 6th with code EXTRA30
Out of any article of clothing in my entire closet/in the entire world, my most favorite piece to wear is a plain white t-shirt. Boring? No way. It’s comfy, soft, versatile, and classic no matter what. I own more white shirts than anything else, but I still can’t seem to get enough. As much as I love a great white t-shirt, I had yet to find a favorite. From Alexander Wang to J.Crew to Gap to Madewell, I really feel like I have tried them all and none of them have blown me away. I think the hardest part is finding one that looks just as good as it feels. Because I am tall and have a longer torso, some seem to fit a bit on the short side and can’t be worn with as much. I like my bottom to be covered up just a bit sometimes:) I am kind of blown away by Old Navy’s new revamped tees and may have found my new favorite white tee in their Crew Neck Pocket Tee. The length is perfect, as is the neckline (not too low). So far so good on the softness – hoping it will be just as soft after some washings. Now that I know how much I love this guy, I am literally going to go back and get about five more of them. With all Old Navy tees on insane sale and a buy one get one free sale (what!?), it just makes sense to stock up now. The shirt also comes in a long-sleeved version that looks as if it fits equally as well. Finding the perfect tee is SUCH a good feeling, don’t you think?
